RedTail Women Take on the SAU Tune-Up

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, the RedTail Momen's Track and Field team traveled to Davenport, Iowa, to compete in the SAU Tune-Up hosted by St. Ambrose University.

The women's team had a fantastic showing at St. Ambrose. The RedTails had one runner in the 60-meter finals. Tasha Williams finished 7th overall (8.32).

Tasha Williams also lead the RedTails in the 200-meter finishing 14th (28.48), with Kendall See close behind in 16th (28.84), and Gracie Rathe finishing 21st (30.06).

Freshman Amber Homan crushed her season-best time and took home 1st place overall in the 800-meter (2:25.99).

Maddie Tieskotter and Anna Dietzenbach took on the mile finishing 6th (6:12.58) and 8th (6:29.83).

Two of our Hurdlers made the finals in the 60-meter hurdles. Brooklynn Halbach finished 5th (10.36) and Kallie Mincks finished right behind in 6th (10.41).

Tasha Williams was the RedTails only high jumper finishing in 8th place (4-07.00).

In the throws, Delaney Kopriva led the RedTails in the Shot Put finishing 11th (33-02.75), Darcee O'Loughlin tied for 17th (29-10.25), and Olivia Hammel finished in the top-20 ( 26-11.25). In the women's weight throw, Darcee O'Loughlin finished 14th (37-02.75), followed by Delaney Kopriva and Olivia Hammel in 16th (35-08.25) and 24th ( 25-08.25).

"This is a great meet for us to sharpen up for the Region XI meet next weekend," said head coach Scott Roberts. "On the women's side, Amber Homan won the 800m run in a season best time. We also had personal bests from Tasha Williams in the 60m final and in the high jump. In fact, it was Tasha's first high jump competition at the college level. We also had Anna Dietzenbach in the top 8 in the mile."
