LCCC Tops Tri-C on the Road

September 16, 2015 - The LCCC Volleyball Team traveled to Cuyahoga Community College on Wednesday, 9/16, and came away with a 4 set win.

After a very slow start in set one (15-25), the Commodores turned the score around in set two (25-10) to tie the match. Sets three and four were close but the Team pulled out the wins by the scores of 25-22 and 25-21.

Leading the offense was Maryssa Kellick and Emily Mandoke providing 12 kills apiece with Kady Whitsel adding 8 kills and 24 assists. It wasn't only the offense that helped the Commodores return home with the win, the defense out dug Tri-C by a 2 to 1 margin with Ali Stanziano (24 digs) and Lindsay Eisbrenner (12 digs) keeping the ball off the floor and giving the offense another opportunity.

The Team will come back home, after almost a month on the road, to host Columbus State on Friday night at 6 PM.
