Suns Baseball Splits Final Two Games in North Lake Series

The CVC Baseball were defeated in game two of their Metro Athletic Conference series against the North Lake Blazers, but closed the series with a 10-5 victory in game three.

In the game two loss to NLC, the Suns were edged 13-12 with Nick Balley scoring a team-high three runs. Four Suns scored at least two runs each,  including Blake Birdwell who hit his first home run of the season. Daniel Quintanilla had a team-high three RBIs.

In game three, Cedar Valley came out early with a 7-0 lead heading into the top of the third inning an didn't look back in the decisive win. Quintanilla went 4-5 from the plate posting five RBIs, two runs, and a home run. Birdwell and Billy Rogers had three and four hits, respectively, adding two runs each. Noah Lynch received the win.

The Suns will play one game over Spring Break when they travel to face Hill College on Monday.
