RedTail Women’s Golf Takes Sixth Place at Waldorf Invite

The RedTails traveled to Lake Mills, Iowa on Friday, September 29, finishing with an overall team score of 362 and placing sixth out of nine teams.
The RedTails had a hot day of golf at the Rice Lake golf course, but finished strong. Chase Doland tied for 10th place individually with a score of 85. Just five strokes behind Doland was Bailey Nuss shooting 90 and tying for 20th. Olivia Hammel shot 91 and tied for 25th place. Libby Larkin tied for 36th and shot a score of 96. Callie Thome took 47th place, shooting a score of 107.
Head coach Micah Destival had positive words after the invite.
"We did some good things on a course we hadn't seen before so I think we can grow from the experience," he said. "Wind was a bit of a factor today, which hasn't been the case this year. We've got a week to prepare for our women's last tournament of the fall so I'm looking forward to seeing if we can fix a few issues and finish the fall on a high note!"
The RedTails next and final invite of the season is the Hawkeye Shootout on Friday, October 6, at the Fox Ridge golf course in Dike.
