Taiveyhon Mason led the Scotties to their 14
th win of the season defeating the Southeast Community College Storm 82-69 in front of a packed Ben Allen Field House Wednesday night.

Highland trailed by as much as eight points four minutes into the game, but hung around and chipped away at the deficit eventually taking the lead with 5:50 to play in the first half. Mason, the freshman point guard from Hopkinsville, KY, scored seven points in the final few minutes to give Highland a six-point lead at the half.

Similar to the game in Beatrice back in December, the Scotties came out of the locker room shooting lights out and took a quick double digit, 15-point lead over the Storm in the first two minutes.

The Storm would climb back within six, but never able to close the gap any further as Highland went on to win 82-69.

Taiveyhon Mason led all scorers with 21 points. He also dished out four assists, had four steals and three rebounds.
Ryan Haskins knocked down four three-pointers for his 16 points and
Alonzo Williams put up 12 points and had eight boards.
Holden Redparth was the other Scottie in double-figures with 10 points.
Kevin Perry also chipped in eight points and eight rebounds.

Highland will have one more opportunity to gear up for conference play as they take on John Wood Community College in their final non-conference game of the season this Saturday, January 20 at 4:00pm in Ben Allen Field House.
