Madison, Wis. - The Elgin Community College baseball team fell 0-8 to No. 8 Madison on Saturday.

Adrian Ruiz made the start on the mound and recorded two strikeouts in three complete innings. Daniel Kinney had a dominant showing as he pitched 4.2 innings and tallied eight strikeouts.

Erik Teran II and Logan Riley registered one hit apiece.

Madison scored five runs in the first inning, but Elgin was able to hold them scoreless through six innings.

An additional three runs in the bottom of the eighth would end the game early with an 0-8 final score.

The Spartans finish the season with a 21-34 overall record.
