Panthers Swept by Strong Broome Team

The first road trip of the season brought the Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team to the home of one of the top teams in the region. Playing at nationally ranked SUNY Broome, the Panthers were swept 3-0 to fall to 0-2 on the season. Broome is now 7-2.

The Hornets won comfortably in each game, taking the match by scores of 25-12, 25-16, and 25-16. Molly Baker (Newark Valley/Newark Valley H.S.) provided one of the bright spots for the Panthers as she had team-highs of five kills and six block. Natasha Feocco (Dryden/Newfield H.S.) had six assists and four digs and Jessica Kenyon (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) added five digs.

This weekend the Panthers will be in Syracuse to take part in the Region III Pod hosted by Onondaga Community College. The Panthers will play against Onondaga, Jefferson Community College, and Cayuga Community College.
