RedTail Women’s Golf Takes 9th At Simpson Invite

The RedTails shot traveled to Indianola on Wednesday, September 20, for the Simpson Invite.

The RedTails shot an overall team score of 373, placing ninth out of 12 competing teams. Chase Doland shot 83. Libby Larkin and Lauren Funk both shot a total score of 93. Bailey Nuss had a score of 101 and Calli Thome was just three strokes behind her with a score of 104.

Head coach Micah Destival had some words about the day and upcoming invites.

"It was another beautiful day to be on the golf course and we did some good things on a difficult layout," he said. "We have a little time off before NIACC next week so hopefully we can get in some work on a few things to improve a bit as we wind the season down."

The RedTials next invite is the NIACC Fall Invite on Tuesday, September 26, at the Highland Park golf course.
