RedTail Cross Country Goes on The Road For Luther College Invite

The RedTail Cross Country Team traveled to Decorah on Saturday, September 9, for the Luther College Invite. 

RedTails ran well and exceeded their expectations for the first four-mile invite. Jess Cornick ran a low of 23:05 minutes, placing 52nd out of 111 runners. Following Cornick, was Kory Sweeney running 25:14 minutes and placing 93rd. 

Head coach Scott Roberts had some positive words after the invite. 

"Both the men exceeded their expectations in their first four-mile invite," he said. "Both women ran well in their 5K, neither were quite as fast as last week's easier course but both still better than they ever had before, and everyone is doing a fine job, we are pleased with their progress."

The RedTails next invite will be on Friday, September 22, in Minneapolis, Minn., for the Roy Griak Invite.
