Isaiah Robinson gained a career-high 160 yards from 24 carries and scored two second-half touchdowns to lift Navarro to a 23-20 SWJCFC victory here Saturday over the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Golden Norsemen.

Robinson capped Navarro's 15-play, 75-yard drive behind back-up quarterback Qua Gray inside the final 6:14 and scored the game-winning touchdown on an eight-yard burst with 1:33 to play.

Robinson's first 100-plus rushing game of the season and fourth of his career helped coach Scott Parr's Bulldogs (2-1) snap NEO's four-game winning streak in the series and claim Navarro's first win over the Golden Norsemen since 2015.  The sophomore running back from Humble, who gained 92 yards on 15 carries during the second half of play, also scored on a 19-yard, third-period jaunt that gave NC a 16-7 lead.

Robinson's second-half rushing success surfaced after defensive back C.J. Bosket made a jolting, momentum-turning play that energized the Bulldogs before halftime.

Leading 7-3, NEO had used more than eight minutes of the second-quarter clock to drive 69 yards in 15 plays to the Navarro six yardline, but prepared to settle for placekicker Redi Mustafaraj's 13-yard field goal, but Navarro blunted the kick.  Bosket scooped it at the 16 and raced untouched 84 yards for a Bulldog touchdown -- the first scored by NC against NEO in the last 10 quarters of play.

The 84-yard return, coming with 1:51 remaining, pushed an energized NC squad into a 10-7 halftime lead.

NEO got a gift, short-field touchdown with its first possession of the game.

The Golden Norsemen recovered a Navarro fumble at the Bulldog 48-yard line, gained 15 penalty yards via a deadball personal foul call, and then used seven plays to traverse 33 yards for the game's first score at 11:02.  Jomani Jones ran five times during the 2:52 march, including the final three on a fourth-and-goal direct snap in a power formation.

Lubbock Coronado product Qua Gray played the entire second half at quarterback in place of Dodge Delozier, who was 11-of-19 for 78 yards before departing.

Gray completed two passes during a seven-play, 59-yard scoring drive to open the second half, but Robinson provided 38 yards on four carries as NC extended its halftime lead.

The Golden Norsemen countered with a 12-play, 60-yard march of 5:20 that resulted in Danuel Oscar's one-yard plunge on a fourth-down play at 4:07.

Mustafaraj added fourth-period field goals of 30 and 29 yards to build a 20-16 lead by the 6:54 mark.
