Suns Baseball Cruises Past North Lake, 7-2

The CVC Baseball Team kept their winning momentum going defeating the North Lake Blazers, 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Alex Garcia and Jesus Payan each had three RBIs for the Suns in the win.

With both teams going scoreless in the first two innings, CVC ripped off four runs in the third inning to take a commanding lead and ultimately cruise to the 7-2 victory. J.J. Veloz Jr. turned in a team-high two runs and two hits.

Shannon Broussard claimed his eighth win of the season from the mound, tossing five strikeouts in eight innings pitched.

The Suns and Blazers continue their series on Friday on the campus of Cedar Valley.
