FLINT, Mich. – For the second year in a row and third time in school history, the Mid Michigan College women's basketball team is heading to the NJCAA D2 National Tournament following their 62-56 victory over Jackson on Sunday in the Great Lakes District C Tournament Championship game.
The Lakers (28-4) were led by Chloe Watson with 20 points and four rebounds. Rachel Resio added 10 points and four rebounds, while Delaney Seaman posted 9 points.
Jiaryatou Cisse pulled down a team high eight rebounds, while Paige Ebels dished out four assists.
Following Tuesday's NJCAA Selection Show, the Lakers have earned the No. 10 seed in the 20 team bracket.
Mid will face No. 7 seed Lake Land College (Ill.) on Tuesday, March 18th at 7PM ET/6PM CT.
The NJCAA Tournament will be held on the campus of Missouri Southern State University at the Leggett and Platt Athletic Center.
