Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Finish Fifth at Jamestown Invitational

On January 18, 2025, the Herkimer Generals competed in the Jamestown Invitational, taking on teams from Monroe Community College, Jamestown Community College, Genesee Community College, and Erie Community College. Despite facing tough competition, the Generals delivered solid performances in both the pool and on the diving boards.
 

Women's Recap

The women's team was led by Nyla Ferline, who delivered a strong showing in the 200-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard IM. Ferline took third in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 3:48.70 and added more points in the 100-yard IM, finishing sixth in 1:36.01. Her efforts stood out as key contributions for Herkimer in a competitive meet.

 

Men's Recap

The men's team saw standout performances in the diving events. Earl Lang placed third in the 1-meter dive with a score of 163.60, while teammate Caleb Sanjurjo took fourth with a score of 150.00. Both divers showcased consistency and skill, helping the Generals stay competitive against more experienced squads.
 

Team Results

The Herkimer women's team earned 32 points, finishing in fifth place. The men also finished fifth, earning 23 points. While the Generals were up against some of the top programs in the region, their determination and effort were evident throughout the meet.
