Beach Volleyball NJCAA National Championship Day Two update.

Tavares, FL – The MCC beach volleyball team went 1-1 in their second day of competition at the 2023 NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship on Friday. The Lady T-Birds started their morning bright and early as they took on St. Johns River State College at 7:15 a.m. AZ time. They fell 0-3 to the Vikings.
MCC bounced back later in the day as they took home 3-0 victory over Gaston College. The team will be back in action in the final day of the championship as they find themselves in the Consolation 1 Bracket where they are the No. 1 seed and wil battle the No. 4 seed, Bryant & Stratton (VA). If the Lady T-Birds win they will move on to the Consolation 1 Bracket championship and play the winner of the No. 2 Richard Bland and the No. 3 State College of Florida contest. If MCC loses they will play the loser of the No. 2 and No . 3 game for 3rd place in the bracket.

No. 2 pair Jessica Goldsmith and Maci Lopeman lost in two sets, 21-9, 21-15.
No. 4 pair Sadie Montague and Jordan Ebner lost in two sets, 21-9, 21-14.
Gaston College - 0 / Mesa Community College - 3
No. 1 pair Karla Ramirez and Abby Wermuth won in two sets, 21-11, 21-11.
No. 3 pair Abby Platt and Annie Hansen won in two sets, 21-13 21-17.
No. 5 pair Cassidy Wakefield and Braylin Palmer won in two sets, 21-8, 21-9.
