Titans hold on for the Win

The St Petersburg College Titans opened up their new home and the 2016 season in an offensive fashion with a Grand Slam Home Run by sophomore David "Bubba" Hollins in the bottom of the 1st inning.  Hollins a native of Orchard Park, NY said before the game, "I love playing here, it feels like home to me."  The here he is speaking of is Jack Russell Stadium the former Spring Training home of the Philadelphia Phillies and the new home for the St Petersburg College Titans baseball team for the 2016 season.

The Titans went on to score four runs in the first, three runs in the fourth, and six runs in the fifth.  That was enough to clinch the victory over the visiting raiders.

Now the team will have to see what they are made of as they travel to Houston, Texas to compete in the San Jacinto College Tournament of Champions.
