Caston Finds Hot Hand in Second Half to Lead Raiders to Win

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Marsilles Caston scored 26 points to lead Northwest Florida to a 79-54 victory over Coastal Alabama – North Thursday in Raider Arena.

Caston started the game 0-for-4 before knocking down a 3-pointer at the first half buzzer to give the Raiders a 27-26 lead at the break. The freshman was 8-for-13 in the second half and finished 9-for-17 from the floor highlighted by eight treys.

Jourdan Smith turned in a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Szymon Wojcik had 13 points and eight boards.

The Raiders (9-3) trailed for all of the first half until Caston's buzzer beater. Northwest Florida fell behind brielf in the second frame but opened up a 20-point lead late and never looked back.

Coastal Alabama – North (0-12) turned the ball over 21 times and got just four points from its bench. Demetrius Headspeth and Jarrett Taylor scored 17 points each for the Eagles.
