Despite four players scoring in double figures, the Lady Greyhounds fell 80-67 on the road Tuesday at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
ASU Mid-South got a game-high 18 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and six blocked shots from Sable Greer while Teiangula Boston registered a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Raiders outscored the Lady Greyhounds each quarter. Javia Wilson scored 14 points and Alesha Penister chipped in 10 as well.
Down 32-25 at the half, ASU Mid-South shot 44.4% in the third quarter and held Three Rivers to 37.5% shooting. But 24 Lady Greyhound turnovers and a 5-for-21 (23.8%) performance from the three-point line while the Lady Raiders shot 8-for-22 (36.4%) were too much to overcome.
The Lady Greyhounds (8-12) return to The Dog House Thursday at 5:30pm against National Park College. The men will follow at 7:30pm.
