Women's Basketball Drops Road Non-Conference Contest to Crusaders 67-64
FRONT ROYAL, Va. - The Frederick Community College women's basketball team dropped a non-conference game on the road, losing to Christendom College by the score of 67-64 on Wednesday night. The Cougars are now 2-10 overall this season after the loss, dropping their fourth straight.
This game went down to the wire as the two teams exchanged leads throughout the game. FCC had a chance in the waning seconds of regulation to tie the contest, but a desperation 3-point attempt by Makayla Wright fell just short.
Tiana Jackson turned in a huge performance for the Cougars. In 40 minutes of action, the sophomore scored a game-high 29 points on 13-of-22 from the field. Jackson also pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds in the loss. Makayla Wright netted 20 points for FCC. Teammate Diarah Walker tallied eight points on 3-of-6 field goals.
FCC (2-10, 0-8 MD JUCO) will return to the court on Saturday at home vs. the Trojans from Allegany College of Maryland. Tipoff is slated for noon.
