Branchburg, NJ - The RVCC Men's Basketball team played host to the Spirit of Delaware Tech on Tuesday February 15.  Both teams started out hot from beyond the arc and the Lions held onto a 1 point lead at the midway point of the first half 21-20.  RVCC ramped up their defensive pressure the rest of the half and held Delaware Tech to 14 points and closed out the first half leading 40-34.  The Lions started the second half off well and were able to build their lead up to 11 at 60-49.  RVCC continued to build the lead and pushed it up to 16 on a lay-up from Malachi Gayton and led 71-55 at that point.  The Lions were able to withstand any type of comeback from The Spirit and went on to win 81-69.  With the win the RVCC was able to clinch the top seed in the Region XIX playoffs.  The Lions had four players in double figures led by Ahmad Robinson with 22, Raheem Carter with 19 points and 10 rebounds, Malachi Gayton with 18 points and 19 rebounds and Eddie Davis with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals.
