Phoenix, AZ - The South Mountain Cougars have won the 2023 NJCAA Region I, Div. II Softball Championship versus the Phoenix College Bears.

The Cougars won all three games in the region tournament, as they beat Chandler-Gilbert in game one, 13-10, and also defeated the defending national and regional champion Bears in games two and three, 10-7 and 4-3.

SMCC officially punched their ticket to the 2023 NJCAA Div. II Softball World Series in Spartanburg, SC. The World Series will take place at Tyger River Park from May 23rd through the 27th.
