NIACC men stop Iowa Central, 74-65

MASON CITY - Bradley Andrews scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift the NIACC men's basketball team to a 74-65 victory over Iowa Central Wednesday night in an ICCAC contest in the NIACC gym.

NIACC led 47-31 at the half. Iowa Central outscored the Trojans 34-27 in the second 20 minutes to trim the final deficit to nine points.

Andrews, a sophomore from Charles City, was 6 of 11 from the field, including a 6 of 9 performance from 3-point range.

Also for the Trojans, Jacques Kelly scored 14 points. Cortaviaus Seales and Myles Tucker both scored 10 points.

Seales also had six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Tucker grabbed seven rebounds.

Iowa Central was led by Javonte Keck with 16 points. Kevin Taylor and Nick Black both scored 12 points for the Tritons.

NIACC topped Iowa Central 70-44 earlier in the season. It is the third time in the last four seasons that NIACC has swept the season series against Iowa Central.

NIACC returns to action Saturday at Southwestern. Game time in Creston is slated for 3 p.m.
