Barton women's bowling salvages 7th place finish at Bronco Open
A weekend filled with ups and downs, the Barton Community College women's bowling team settled for a 7th place finish this past weekend at the Bronco Open held at Hasting's, NE Pastime Lanes.
The Cougars finished the two-day event with a pin count 7,202 over six individual and 16 baker rounds. Ottawa University secured the team championship outlasting the nine-fielded teams tipping 8,213 pins to outlast runner-up Morningside University's 8,134.
Chailyn Scott paved the way for nine Cougars reaching a six game total 1,087 or 10th place. Despite not reaching a game of 200, the freshman pieced together the team's highest 10-frame average of 181.2.
Jaden Rabe posted the lone 200 scores for Barton with a second game 228 and sixth game 203 on her way to a 18th overall finish and total 1,041.
The Cougars will wrap-up the fall semester at the SWIBC-III and SWIBC IV held Saturday and Sunday at the City View Lanes in Fort Worth, TX.
