CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – The No. 16 seeded Montgomery College Raptors volleyball team moved to the consolation bracket after falling to an undefeated Cowley County Community College (KS) in the first round of the NJCAA DII Volleyball Championship 5-25, 12-25, 7-25.
The No. 1 seed came out swinging in its opening set and showed they were the team to beat. The Raptors volleyball team overcame some early-match struggles and was able to keep the game close to pull within one point in the second set 5-6.
The Raptors fall into the consolation bracket and will play No.9 McHenry County College (IL) on Friday, November 19 at 12:00 PM CT (1:00 PM ET), who lost to No.8 Kirkwood Community College in five sets.
