No. 12 MGCCC Men show depth in NEMCC win

No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast flexed their depth Tuesday on the way to an 8-1 win over Northeast Mississippi in MACCC men's tennis action at Booneville.

"We got to throw some guys out there who haven't seen the court as much," Blackburn said, "and it was really cool for them to get some experience."

After only dropping four games on three doubles courts, Gonzalo Cotter (Fr., Valencia, Spain/IVLA) won a good match at No. 1 singles.

The Bulldogs shuffled their singles lineup, and got Grant Wilson (Fr., Hurley/East Central) on the No. 6 court. After having started the year as a manager, he lost a tight 8-6 match in his first conference competition.

The Bulldogs scrimmage against Blue Mountain College on Wednesday in New Albany. They'll be home for another conference matchup Friday when Copiah-Lincoln visits. First serves are set for 2 p.m.
