Hawks Work Together for a Win

HAGERSTOWN, Maryland – Last night the Hagerstown Community College Hawks took on the CCBC Dundalk Lions to notch another win under their belt. With a constant lead from the start, the Hawks ended the first half up by ten (36-26) and finished with a final score of 86-67. 

 

The Hawks proved how well they could work together with long and accurate passing against the Lion's full-court press defense starting early on in the game. The team shot an overall free-throw rate of 81.3% and 68.8% from the three-point line. 

 

Nate Aklilu (33) and Kyree Ellis (12) were top scorers for the game with 18 points each. Ellis was also the leading rebounder with seven total rebounds followed by Alex Ofori (5) with six rebounds and Aklilu with five. 

 

The Hawks next game will be at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th at the ARCC at Hagerstown Community College versus the Baltimore City Community College Panthers. The Panthers have a 8-7 record and the Hawks have a current 9-11 record.
