Mustangs Close Out Regular Season, Look Towards Playoffs

On Monday night, both of our Mustang Basketball teams ended their 2021-22 regular seasons. Our Women's team ended with a loss to the Skylander of Sussex County Community College by a score of 56-39. While our Men's team lost a close game to Division 1 rival Harcum College 104-95.

 

Freshman Matt Compas popped off scoring 31 points against the Bears! Will Anderson and Nigel Cooke also put up impressive scoring numbers with 20 and 13 points respectively. Cooke and Compas were also tied for most assists on the night boh helping with 6 different points!

Matt Compas also led the team defensively, stealing a total of 4 possessions from the Bears, with Jake Schalki close behind with 2 steals! Jason Price and Will Anderson also stood tall in the paint blocking 1 shot each! 

Will Anderson also led the Mustangs in rebounds corralling 9 on the night! Matt Compas and Jake Schalki were not to be messed with either and had 8 and 7 rebounds each respectively. Jake Schalki had 5 of his 7 rebounds while on offense guaranteeing quick points for the Mustangs!

Your Mustangs Men's Basketball team ends their season with a 23-4 record and awaits their seeding for the Region 19 Championship Tournament!
