CHEYENNE, WY - The Golden Eagles were in Hutchinson, Kansas this past weekend, competing in the Blue Dragon Classic. 

After a tough schedule last weekend, the Golden Eagles continued its trend of playing the top teams in the country, playing a pair of top-ten teams.

The Golden Eagles opened the classic with a 3-0 loss to Jefferson College before falling to the No. 8 ranked Missouri State-West Plains Grizzlies 3-0.

On the final day of the classic, the Golden Eagles squared off with the No. 1 ranked and defending NJCAA DI Volleyball national champion Iowa Western Reivers, losing 3-0 before wrapping up the weekend with a loss to the hosts, Hutchinson.

LCCC returns home to open region play this weekend hosting Northwest at 7:00 pm on Friday and No. 13 ranked Central Wyoming on Saturday afternoon at 3:00.
