Genesee Comes Up Short vs Kats

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College men's basketball team enjoyed a five-point lead at halftime, but it was the visiting Erie Community College Kats who left Batavia with a 74-64 victory. The Cougars record moves to 12-10 on the season with a 3-3 record in conference play.

Jamir Cheek led the Cougars in scoring with 18 points and dishing out eight assists. Jarett Haines scored 14 points with six rebounds and dishing out four assists. Brandon Speller contributed to 15 points and seven rebounds coming off the Genesee bench.

Genesee heads on the road on Wednesday night as they travel to Sanborn to take on the Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves at 7:30 pm.
