West Frankfort, Ill. – The Vincennes University 2021 spring season is in full swing after the Trailblazers took part in the Rend Lake Invitational at Franklin Co. Country Club in West Frankfort, Ill.

VU as a team placed sixth with a team score of 647, just one shot off fifth place.

Vincennes shot a 326 on day one of the Invitational, led by Bryce Kirchner, who shot a 77 in the opening round.

Kirchner was followed by Matt Jordan (81), Cole Parmer (84), Jackson Roberts (84) and Brock Craney (85).

On the second day of the Invitational, Matt Jordan made the biggest improvement, finishing with a team-leading second round 75.

Kirchner shot a 76, Parmer and Roberts each shot an 85 on the second day, along with Craney who finished with a 90 on Sunday.

The Trailblazer golf team will hit the links Monday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 30, when VU takes part in the Garn Championships at The Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky.
