@Catawba Valley CC 1/7/22:
This first game coming out of winter break was a conference matchup against Catawaba Valley CC (9-3) entering the contest, (4-1) in conference play. Coming out of the gate coach Coleman wanted his Bobcats to set the tone and shake off some of the rust after the two week break period. One thing you'll notice about this team is that they truly have a full roster of players that can go out and make a difference, players who don't have a huge impact on one game, have turned around to be the difference maker in the next one. This team is unselfish and they continue to do there job for the success of the team and a lot of the credit goes to the coaching staff & head coach Cliff Coleman who earned his 100th win in this contest that was very close and saw his team take the lead going into halftime (42-39) but down 9 late, to then take the lead and seal the game. The #19 Bobcats had a season high 29 turnovers & were out rebounded, but as its been a highlight so many times in the past; defense is what won them this game holding their opponent to under 40% from the field and under 20% from 3 while managing to find their own success on the offensive end shooting 50% from the field and just over 35% from 3, final score (79-72).

@Patrick & Henry CC 1/8/22:
Up next for the Bobcats fresh off of their hard fought, come from behind win was a match up against Patrick & Henry CC (3-6) entering, (1-6) in conference play. Another conference matchup for the #19 Bobcats where they didn't want to give this team any life from the start of the game. However, a different scenario played out in the first half as the Bobcats saw themselves down 3 at halftime (24-27). Whatever was discussed at halftime certainly changed the mindset of the players as they started fast, took the lead early in the second half and didn't look back as the Bobcats almost doubled their point total scoring 46pts in the second half cruising to a 15pt victory (70-55). The Bobcats are the healthiest they've been since early in the season and are coming together finding ways to win no matter who's night it is. As they continue to grow as a team and try to ready themselves for the second half of the season the matchups will only get more difficult but they aren't backing down from anyone.
