The CVC Baseball Team picked up two wins on Monday afternoon, sweeping the LeTourneau YellowJackets (JV) in doubleheader action.
In the 10-5 game one victory, the Suns were tied with the YellowJackets 3-3, before ripping off seven runs in the eighth inning.
Nolyn Box registered two runs and two RBIs, while Billy Rogers turned in three RBIs. Box and Rogers also each had a home run. Allan Griffin had two runs in the victory with Marcus Dandridge getting the win on the mound.
After falling begin 1-0 in game two against LTU, CVC rallied to take a 4-1 lead coming out of the top of the second inning and never relinquished the lead to seal an 8-3 win.
Hugo Garcia-Gaytan had a game-high two runs, while Rogers finished the day going 3-3 from the plate. Rogers, Blair Hankins, and Allan Griffin each had two RBIs with Grant Moore blasting a home run. Jesus Fraga earned his second win of the season.
Cedar Valley will return to Metro Athletic Conference action on Wednesday when they face Eastfield in a three-game series starting on Wednesday.
