Reivers Start The Fall Season In Record Setting Form

The Reivers led wire-to-wire after getting off to a very hot start in Round 1 of the Blue River Classic on Tuesday, September 6th. A team score of 276 (-12) in the morning round setup a 15-shot lead that we would never relinquish. Sophomore Jason Kolbas set the pace with a 66 (-6) followed by a 67 (-5) from Freshman Cooper Hanson.

In Tuesday's afternoon round, The Reivers followed up with another impressive performance firing a 279 (-9). All 4 counting scores were under par in round 2 led by a pair of 69s from Cooper and Freshman teammate Max Nielsen.

A final round team score of 281 (-7) on Wednesday, September 7th put our overall total at -28 which shattered the school record for a 54-hole event by 8 shots! Jason Kolbas also led wire-to-wire to take individual medalist honors. His 3-round total of -12 (66-70-68) tied a school record for a 54-hole event. He finished eagle-birdie on his final 2 holes to best his teammate Cooper Hansen (-11) by one shot!
