The Pima Community College and Arizona Western College men's soccer teams played two and half hours of soccer to decide an NJCAA Region I, Division I champion.
- The Aztecs fell 0-0 (6-5 in penalty kicks). Sophomore Yuki Jahara's shot sailed over the goal post to end the game.
- Freshman Josh Allison's (Corona del Sol HS) first shot was blocked. Sophomore goalkeeper Nils Roth made a save on Arizona Western's third attempt and the Aztecs tied it at 2-2 with freshman Hyeonsang Jang's penalty kick.
- Sophomore Itsuki Ishihara, Jang, Ricky Gordillo (Maya HS), sophomore Martin Cardenas (Sahuaro HS) and freshman Seung Eon Kim converted on their penalty kick shots.
- The Aztecs finished with five shots on goal for the game. Roth made some game-saving stops and closed it out with eight saves.
The Aztecs closed out the season with a 14-3-2 overall record. They were 8-1-2 at Kino North Stadium and 6-2 on the road.
