
Friday, the Marian University Ancilla women's bowling team participated in the NJCAA Region XII Bowling Championship at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Michigan. There was a singles competition, in which MUAC had five bowlers participate, and a doubles competition, in which the Chargers fielded two full teams.
The highlight of the weekend for the Chargers was Freshman Allyson Lawson earning All-Tournament honors and All-Region honors, and qualifying for the National Tournament in a couple of weeks. She finished in 4th place in the singles competition, with a score of 546, just 3 pins away from 3rd. Congratulations, Ally!!
Also in the singles competition, Freshman Christina Sexton finished in 40th place with a score of 339, Freshman Sophie Willey finished in 42nd with a score of 321, Sophomore Kyla Armstrong finished in 44th with a score of 290, and Freshman Catelyn Naragon finished in 46th place with a score of 173.
In the doubles competition, the duo of Lawson and Naragon finished in 12th place with a combined score of 883. The duo of Sexton and Willey finished in 20th place with a combined score of 666.
