#3 Women’s Soccer Falls in PK’s to Arizona Western at Nationals

WICHITA K.S. - Monroe Community College and Arizona Western College fell to Arizona Western at the national tournament 1-1 in Penalty Kicks


Match Summary:
The match began with both teams displaying strong defensive strategies, resulting in a goalless first half. Monroe Community College's Laia Ferran broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, assisted by Niyah Jayde Rosado. However, Arizona Western College quickly responded with a goal from Cianna Thomas in the 52nd minute, leveling the score.Both teams fought hard to find a winning goal but were unable to break the deadlock, leading to two overtime periods. Despite numerous attempts from both sides, the match went to Penalty Kicks tied at 1-1.  Goalkeeper Clare Boesel made an impressive 12 saves throughout the match, ensuring her team remained in contention.;
