The East Central Community College men's tennis team went 1-2 over the week with a loss to Coastal Alabama-South, a win over Holmes, and a loss against nationally-ranked Wallace State. The results move the Warriors to 6-5 on the year.
"We had some tough days against some potentially top-10 programs, but we showed great effort on several courts," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "Against Holmes we got some of our hard-working players that have been on the bench in the mix and each guy showed some terrific effort for us, it was really good to see."
The matches all had ups and downs with a 5-4, tight loss to the Coastal Alabama Sun Chiefs, a dominating 8-1 win over Holmes, and an 8-1 loss to Wallace State.
