
Broncbuster men take third at Firestarter Classic
Iola, KS-The Broncbuster cross country teams competed in the Allen Community College Firestarter Classic over the weekend.
Men
The men placed third overall amongst 11 schools. Lawson Beymer ran a time of 25:35, about 20 seconds short from his previous PR @ McPherson (flattest course of the season). He took 6th out of 100 runners. Lucas Goasmat ran a time of 26:37, good for 24th place. Meantime, Marc Corpus and Don Kasiwa competed close together with Corpus finishing 30th with a 26:54 (personal best) and Kasigwa taking 36th with a time of 27:10 (personal best). Andrew Dorris placed 64th with a time of 28:33 (personal best) and Leo Shelden with nearly a minute PR of 30:16 placing him 84th.
Women
Sara Chapa led the women with a time of 22:43 placing her at 43rd out of 70 runners. Maya White-Eagle stayed at distance with a time of 23:00 flat (personal best) placing 45th. Joscelyn Monarrez took 56th with a new personal best of 23:42, and Jada Cooper fell short from her PRtime but ran close with a 24:24; good for 61st.
