Niagara County Community College dropped all three matches at this past weekend's Region III pod hosted by Finger Lakes Community College. The Thunderwolves are now 3-10 on the year. Next up is another trio of regional contests on Saturday at Tompkins-Cortland Community College. Opponents include the host Panthers, Corning Community College and SUNY Broome.
Genesee CC 25-25-25, Niagara CCC 23-16-20
Sophomore Maddie Phillips had five kills and nine digs in the straight-set defeat. Classmate Haley Freeburger also had five kills and fellow second-year player McKenna Collignon finished with 16 assists.
Finger Lakes CC 25-25-25, Niagara CCC 16-19-12
Sophomore Jessica Cruz-Jackson notched seven kills and four digs, but it wasn't enough in the three-set loss. Collignon had 15 assists and freshman Samantha Chilcott notched seven digs.
Monroe CC 25-25-25, Niagara CCC 15-11-18
Despite a solid 16-assist, 11-dig performance from Collignon, the T-Wolves fell in consecutive sets. Cruz-Jackson ripped nine kills to go with eight digs and freshman Brooke Wisor chipped in with eight digs off the bench.
