Women's Basketball suffered a tough 77-60 loss at Jackson State on Saturday afternoon.
The early stages of the game were close, with Cleveland State trailing the Lady Green Jays 21-17 at the end of the first. The Lady Cougars continued to keep the game close after halftime, bringing the score to 54-51 after three quarters. However, the Lady Green Jays were able to pull away at the end.
Britnay Gore posted yet another double-double on the year, posting team-highs in points and rebounds with 19 and 11, respectively. Three other Lady Cougars were able to reach double-figures, with Za'kkria Robinson scoring 12, Asjah Harrell scoring 10, and Kyeshia Dalton also scoring 10.
Cleveland State will be back in action on Wednesday as they welcome conference foe Motlow State. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 ET.
