Bulldogs beat Bears
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast maintained control of the top spot in the MACCC men's tennis standings on Wednesday by blanking Southwest 9-0.
The Bulldogs (9-0, 8-0 MACCC) lost only nine games on nine courts in a dominant performance.
Anderson Dulaney (Fr., Long Beach/Long Beach) and Jackson Ward (Fr., Gulfport/Gulfport) won their No. 3 doubles match 8-0. Pedro Molero (Fr., Maracaibo, Venezuela/U.E. Instituto Americano Joseph John Thomson) and Alex King (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins in their singles matches.
Gulf Coast travels to Meridian on Friday for a doubleheader. The Bulldogs play the Eagles at 10 a.m., then play Wallace State at 1 p.m.
