Lady Indians impressive at Southwest

Lady Indians impressive at Southwest

SUMMIT, Miss. – The Lady Indians picked up an impressive 9-0 win at Southwest on Friday.

Julianna Alves and Maggie Creekmore knocked off Ali Smith and Kim San, 8-2, in No. 1 doubles. Riley Crouch and Farrah Fowlkes defeated Megan White and Sarah Robinson, 8-2, in No. 2 doubles to complete the opening round sets after Southwest forfeited the No. 3 doubles match.

Alves and Caroline Ferguson looked impressive with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins in their No. 1 and No. 4 singles matches. Creekmoore beat San 6-1, 6-2 in No. 2 singles while Claire Ferguson won 6-3, 6-1 over White in No. 3 singles.

The win was the fifth-straight for the Lady Indians, who improved to 6-5 on the season.

ICC will travel to Co-Lin and Hinds for a pair of conference matches on Saturday.
