No. 12 Bulldogs sweep Holmes
PERKINSTON — No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast opened the MACCC men's tennis season Friday with a 9-0 win over Holmes at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.
"It's good to get a first conference win under our belt like that," Bulldogs coach Sam Blackburn said. "We've played a tough non-conference schedule to start the season. The guys have been grinding every single match, mostly against four-year schools, so it's nice to get a solid, straightforward win today. It feels good."
Gulf Coast (2-0 overall) didn't drop a game on any court on the way to the sweep.
The Bulldogs will face No. 19 Meridian on Tuesday. The road match begins at 2 p.m.
