CRESTON - The NIACC baseball team dropped an ICCAC twinbill to Southwestern on Saturday.
Southwestern won the first game 12-6 and took the second game 8-6.
In the first game, Southwestern pounded out 15 hits to score its 12 runs. The Spartans plated nine of their 12 runs in the fifth inning.
NIACC scored two runs in the first innng, three in the fourth inning and one in the seventh inning.
Logan Milene and Ben Tallman both collected two hits for the Trojans.
In the second game, NIACC trailed 8-2 heading into the ninth inning and closed the deficit to two runs with four runs in its last at-bat.
Ayrton Laird homered and drove in two runs for the Trojans. Brian Williams was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Nic Nelson collected two RBIs.
NIACC and Southwestern wrap up their four-game series with a pair of games on Sunday.
