Bulldogs defeat Coahoma, 7-1 and 10-3

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs swept the Coahoma Community College Tigers here Tuesday, 7-1 and 10-3, in MACCC action.

Holmes travels to Gulf Coast on Saturday for a 2/5 p.m. DH.

In game one, Holton Hartzog got the start and picked up the win. He went five innings and gave up one run on four hits with four strikeouts. Vince Glorioso went the final four innings and had six strikeouts.

Thomas Kuhn led the Bulldogs with three hits including a triple while Hunter Azemar, Xavier Myles, Cade Clinton and Landon Wallace each had two hits. Azemar had two doubles, Wallace had one double and Myles had two triples. Jacob Lott added a double.

In game two, John Paul Buckner got the start and picked up the win. He went all seven innings giving up three runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and no walks.

Nicolas Schwing and Kuhn each had two hits while Sam Roy and Clinton added doubles. Hunter Azemar had three-run homerun.

Against Southwest on Friday, the Bulldogs won 8-1 and lost 10-7.

Josh Fleming got the win in game one going 8 1/3 innings with three strikeouts and five walks. Glorioso went the final 2/3 of an inning.

Schwing had three this while Roy had two with Roy adding a double.

In game two, Brenden Skirtech got the start and picked up the no decision. Aidan Bellman, Jude Stringer and Seth Terrell also pitched in the game with Bellman suffering the loss.

Azemar led the Bulldogs with three hits including a homerun and a double while Amari Conley and Will McClure each had two hits with McClure adding a triple. Schwing had a double in the game.
