Women’s Volleyball Advances to Quarterfinals of NJCAA National Championship

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #4 Richard Bland College women's volleyball team competed against #13 Enterprise State this evening in the second round of the NJCAA National Championship. After completion of the evening, the Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moved to 32-4 overall and have advanced to the Quarterfinal round of the NJCAA National Championship.

 

In the match, Richard Bland defeated the Boll Weevils of Enterprise State 3-1, with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 26-28, and 25-14. Gabrielle Meador and Lovina Teel led te attack with 18 and 17 kills. Meador also had 16 digs and two service aces, while Teel tallied eight digs and one service ace. Taelin Connolley chipped in with 15 digs and 10 kills, while Aliyah Millner had eight kills in the win. Alexis Scipione totaled 50 assists, and Phoebe Heath had 19 digs for Richard Bland.

 

The Richard Bland College women's volleyball team will next take on #5 Heartland Community College tomorrow, November 21st at 6:30pm EST/5:30pm CT, in the Quarterfinals.
