Fulton, Miss. – The Lady Indians fell 3-0 to No. 13 Northwest in the North Division finale after a strong second half by the Lady Rangers.
After one half, the Lady Indians (5-8, 4-4 MACCC North) and Lady Rangers were scoreless and in a hard-fought battle. However, an 11 minute stretch in the second half would put the Lady Rangers up big.
The Lady Rangers scored the game's first goal at the 52nd minute and then added two additional goals at the 58th and 63rd minutes.
Despite the strong effort, the Lady Indians were unable to overcome the 3-0 deficit. However, the Lady Indians are playoff bound and will compete in the MACCC Quarterfinals Tuesday, Nov. 2 against the number two seed from the South Division.
The Lady Indians' opponent in the postseason has yet to be determined as the South Division's final games are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 26.
