SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Men's Basketball team moves to 2-1 overall after they hosted the annual Statesmen Classic this past weekend.
The men's basketball team hosted Monroe College on day one and Lake Raleigh Prep on day two of the tournament.
In the 69-45 loss to Monroe College, Nathaniel Lacey finished with his first double double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Lacey was also credited with 4 blocks and 2 steals. Deston Davenport came off the bench and chipped in with 9 points, while Kevon West had 7 points.
In the 87-32 win over Lake Raleigh Prep, Nathaniel Lacey posted his second double double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Lance Monterio chipped in with 15 points and 3 steals. Tysen Brown came off the bench to score 9 points and had 3 rebounds.
Richard Bland men's basketball next hosts Montgomery College on Wednesday November 10th at 7pm.
