The 7th ranked Barton Community College men's tennis team capped the regular season with a convincing 6-1 victory over Emporia State University Monday afternoon in Emporia, KS.

Dropping No. 1 and No. 2 doubles falling into a 1-0 match deficit, No. 3 doubles Yordi Ponce and Leonel Caspe furnished the Cougars' some momentum clinging to a 6-4 victory heading into single action.

Barton rode the momentum with vengeance claiming all six single matches with five of the six marches decided in straight sets.

Barton will set its' sights on the NJCAA Championships held May 17th-21st at Collin College in Plano, TX.
