Chargers’ Rally Falls Short Despite Isenhour’s 21-Rebound Double-Double

GALESBURG — Lilly Isenhour pulled down a season-high 21 rebounds as part of a double-double, but the Carl Sandburg College women's basketball team's second-half comeback came up short in a 66-56 Arrowhead Conference loss to Black Hawk on Tuesday night at John Lewis Gym. 

KEY MOMENTS
• Back-to-back Isenhour layups tied the game at 6 in the first quarter before a 14-0 run by the Braves. Black Hawk went into halftime with a 37-20 lead.
• The Chargers outscored the Braves 21-13 in the third quarter and got as close as 52-45 on Abbey Donaldson's floater with 9:00 left in the game. Black Hawk answered with nine of the next 11 points on the strength of three straight 3-pointers from Laney Parker to extend its lead to 61-47 with 5:21 left.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Despite playing limited minutes in the second half because of foul trouble, Isenhour finished with 11 points and a season-best 21 rebounds, helping Sandburg to a 50-39 edge on the glass. Nine of Isenhour's rebounds came on the offensive end as she picked up her 11th double-double of the season.
