The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team opened the 2022 season with a tough test – traveling to take on a strong Ulster County Community College team. The result was an 8-2 loss to the Senators in the non-region contest.

The score was 4-0 at the half, but the Panthers got on the board in the second period. The first score for Tompkins Cortland came on a goal by Brian Burkett (Greenburgh/Woodland (Va.) H.S ) off an assist by Abdoul Diagouraga (Brooklyn/Keystone National H.S.). The final score of the game came when Vinicius Idalgo (Jacarei, Brazil/Colegio Alcance) converted an assist from William Pritchard (Jacksonville/Charles O. Dickerson H.S.) for his first goal of the season.
